Happy Birthday Buddy! 6yrs

Where do I begin with this kid. I am not one to brag about my kids, its one of my biggest pet peeves when moms do that, but for his birthday its more than acceptable.
      Teegin is definitely one of a kind. He is as stubborn as they come, hard headed and determined.  He is going to work at something till he is good at it. He is very athletic. Loves baseball the most, but has played soccer this year and hopefully basketball this coming year.  Has a very competitive side to him, which drives me nuts, but may be a good thing some day.  Loves to flex his muscles, and dreams of having a sixpack some day.
      This kid is very bright. Has the craziest memory ever. Is a know-it-all, and smartalic. He really enjoys school, I think math is going to be his favorite subject. He loves to just sit and write his numbers. Science always interests him too. He Loves the solar system and all that space stuff. He knows all about all the planets, the moon and the sun
     He is an awesome eater. Loves sushi, most seafood, mainly shrimp. Isn't a big dessert guy, especially cake. Couldn't tell by looking at him, but he eats a lot.
    This kid has way too much energy. Loves to be outside riding his bike or catching some sort of creature. Grasshoppers are his favorite.
    He would be embarrassed if I told about this, but he is a pretty musical little guy. He has always liked music, and learned the words to songs easily. He sings ALLLL the time. Likes getting on my phone and listening to the music I have downloaded. His two favorite songs right now are "You don't know your beautiful" and Justin Beibers "If I was your Girlfriend"   It is hilarious to listen to him sing these songs, he knows all the words.   If he wasn't such a BOY, I would be a little worried that he may join a boy band. :()
     Teegin, you definitely try my patience, but we wouldn't change you for the world. You are a special kid and have so much in your future. We are so lucky to have you in our family!!
   

My Boys

  A few months back Casey took the boys one day to a mini photoshoot, which later made the cutest DVD for me with these picture and music for our anniversary.   I LOVED all of the pictures and picked a few. I have finally gotten around to getting them developed, some blown up and amd going to make canvases with them. Finally I will have a picture of Brooks in our house. I know he is almost 8 months. I have been a slacker.
   Its funny how by your third child the pictures are fewer and slower about getting them up.

7 months and we got a crawler.

 Brooksie Boy is now 7 months, holy moly!!   He is such a sweetheart. I could just eat him up. He gets mauled in kisses between Teegin, Casey, and I.   Lane well....
    This little guy has recently started crawling, he skipped the whole army crawl thing and went straight to the good part.  He also recently got good at sitting up; took him a while. I blame that big gut that kinda gets in the way.
   Now I need to watch whats on the floor at all times, choking hazards.  I guess its a good excuse to go through the toy box and throw away the broken toys and small things. I dont even know whats in there.

At 7 months Brooks is taking 2-3 naps a day. Sometimes he doesn't want to go to sleep for that 3rd nap.   He sleeps all night 8-7ish. 
Sits, Rolls, and crawls.
Eats 4 bottles a day every 3 1/2 to 4 hours, also eating the baby food, which is enjoying more these days. It took him a little while to eat it without spitting it all out.

School Time!!

 My big KINDERGARTENER!!!    He was so excited to start school.  Picked out what he was going to wear on his first day, and what he wanted in his lunch. 

 I walked him to class found his cubby and then his name at the desk he was going to be sitting at. I cant believe I have a kid in kindergarten.  Its a crazy feeling for sure. It feels weird to have been gone all day. I drop him off at 8:00 and school is over at 2:15, but he INSISTS on riding the bus, which means he doesnt really get home till 3.  
    I didnt get too emotional when I dropped him off, but more just nervous and anxious about leaving him with a complete stranger with children him or I have never met and hoping that he is watched over and cared for. That I had no control over if he was safe or making friends, hoping that the things that I have tried to teach him such as values and manners and confidance some how sunk in.  He is such a bright little guy that I dont worry about him struggling in that way, but I hope that he makes good choices.

 I cannot believe how fast summer FLEW by this year.  Here are a bunch of pictures of some of the things we had to fit in before the school began.

 Which ended up a traumatic experience. Teegin stepped in a yellow jacket nest and the both ended up getting stung, Lane in the eye and Teegin in the arm; both swelled up immediatly.    May not be going on any hikes any time soon

 And we had to hit up the house boat at trinity lake one more time!!    Its always perfect weather up there and always a good time.    There was a lot of fishing going on

More Summer Time!

 Living here in our small little town, we have the luxery of being surrounded by all the cousins. It is so much fun to see the kids all grow up together and develop these relationships.  There are 13 cousins at the moment. Boys and girls pretty even. They all spend lots of time toether, especially. Teegin,Connor, Luke, and Lane.   Its going to be CRAZY when all these kids are in high school together.

Where do I Begin?

 Beware there are a lot of pictures this post. Summer has been busy and just flown by, and I havent taken the time to blog. Some friends of ours opened up a surf shop here where we live called "the Shop" They had a contest to post a picture on facebook of you wearing their shirt and the winner gets a free jacket.     Lane LOVES his shop shirt. I dont know why, but he asks to wear it everyday.  These are our pictures for the contest

 The end of July we drove out to Utah for a visit.  Man I sure do miss Utah summers, there is nothing better.   Teegs and Lane loved Trafalga; luckily my parents only live 5 minutes away from it

 We spent most days at the pools swimming with the cousins. 

 Of course had to catch up with the old crew. I miss these girls sooo much. It is constant laughing the whole time.  Im glad that we have kept in touch.
