With Christmas falling on a Sunday and church being at 9, my original plan was to let them go through their stocking only and then wait till we got home to open the rest. Of course when the boys walked in to the living room and Lane yells "PRESENTS" there was no way of waiting.
Santa brought Lane a razor scooter, and as you can tell he couldn't get it opened fast enough. He was ripping into it with his teeth.
Santa brought Teegin a pitching machine. He was pumped. We haven't been able to try it out yet because it hasn't stopped raining.
The boys also got a creepy crawler maker. Remember those? My little bro Brandon had one when he was little and loved it. I was so excited to see them bring it back. Especially with Teegs being so obsessed with bugs and spiders I thought it'd be perfect for him.
Christmas was so much fun this year, and the boys seemed to really be excited about it all. Its so much fun to see that expression on their face when they open their gifts. Its always so sad when its all over and time to put all the decorations away. But this year I wasn't too upset about it because it means I am that much closer to meeting our new little guy.

Christmas Fun
We attempted the gingerbread thing this year. It was kind of a big ordeal. The icing wouldn't harden and hold up the house. So we did the trees first while the house sat there and hardened for a while. Lane thought it was so much fun, he would lick every piece of candy before he would stick it on there. It was pretty funny. Teegs was loving it too.
The roof is totally deformed. I couldn't get it to stay where I put it, but it works right.
Last week I took the boys over to the store to pick out an ornament to hang on tree. Its hard to tell in this picture what they picked out but; Teegin's is a baseball mitt with a ball, and Lane picked out a Mater one.

Complications
Yes, my blog is looking a little crazy right now. I was trying to take off the Thanksgiving template and put on a Christmas one. I went to erase it and everything got erased and screwed up. I called my sister to ahve her fix it, and she did, but its not really matching all right now, half thanksgiving and half christmas stuff. But I dont want to attempt trying to fix it again for a while.

Big Boy
Finally we got around to getting Lano a new bed, I have been wanting to get him out of the crib now for a little while especially with a little brother on the way. Now the boys are official room mates. I was somewhat worried about it how it was all going to work out, but he has been awesome. I never have to tell him to get back in his bed, BUT he likes to talk and talk and talk. Teegin isn't use to having that extra noise in there, but its been fun for them to sleep together.
I have been looking for a headboard to somewhat match Teegins, or 2 cheaper ones that match. But not on the top of my list of things to do right now.

A List for Santa
Teegin decided this year he should make a list of a few presents that he wants for Christmas. Its hard to read, he is just learning how to spell. It says: a baseball pitcher.
a rocket (rocket launcher) He saw it in a magazine.
a baseball (that shows how fast you threw it.)
It was soo funny, while we were back in Utah visiting Teegin was looking through this toy catalog my mom had sitting on the counter. He went through and cut out all the things he wanted and put a line by them so I would know for sure which thing he wanted. It was so cute. And made it easy for me because I had absolutely no idea what I was getting for him.

Orange Crush
We decided to sign Teegin up for soccer this year. At first I was hesitasnt because he was one of the younger kids, and he has never played soccer or really even been around it. But he jumpeed right in gave it his all.
Orange Crush was his teams name. As you an see here in this pic, he was the smallest on the team, but he was also one he the best. He LOVED soccer. He is extremely agressive and goes for it. He never wanted to come out and take a break. He would play the entire game if his coach would let him.
He had two of his cousins on his team too, so thats always makes it more fun. He was soo much fun to watch play.
After the last game, he finally got his trophy. He was nicknamed the speed demon. Its just so crazy to think that two years ago this kid couldn't walk without being in pain, he walked like a 80 year old man. Watching him run up and down the field no one would ever know that he use to have a severe case of arthritis.

Halloweeny
Carving pumpkins is always quite a process. Lane was more involved this year though
Halloween seemed to last forever this year. Probably because we went to 3 costume parties, and then the actual night of halloween trick-or-treating. Teegs was all about dressing up this year. He decided he wanted to be Hulk. The costume came with a mask, and since every party forbids wearing masks we painted his hair and face green I think he enjoyed that more than a mask.
Lane on the other hand wanted nothing to do with dressing up. It was a fight to get that dang batman suit on.
Just a silly pose.

Pick a Pumpkin
Every year we go to the pumpkin patch and let the boys pick out a pumpkin. Teegin has been begging to go ever since his class field trip to the pumpkin patch was canceled due to rain. So here we are. Teegs put his rain boots on, even though it was completely dry.
The little hay maze was definitely Lanes favorite part, he didn't care as much for the pumpkins.
This kid is soo funny when it comes to picking one out, he is very particular. This one he picked was actually really a cute one, not that pumpkins are cute. But it looked like one that would be on a cartoon.
Now we need to carve them, wahoooo.

Someone Turned the Big 5!!
Wow, its crazy when you have a five year old, I instantly feel really old. Teegs turned the big 5 on Monday. We started the day off by taking him to his choice of breakfast at Tony's. He ordered the egg, sausage sandwich on an english muffin. Then we dropped him off at school.
Then later that night had took him to dinner at Typanyaki. This kid LOVES shrimp and salmon, really any seafood. That place is always entertaining to. Then we had the fam over for a little cake, ice cream and sugar cookies.
He got a Hulk cake this year. Just a few things about Teegs at the age of 5:
*This kid Loves to catch bugs, everyday he is out catching grasshoppers, butterflies, caterpillars, or anything else that will fit in his little cage. He keeps them for a little bit, and then lets them go.
*Teegin LOVES baseball, for some reason he has been drawn to this sport, and he is pretty dang good at it too. Also like soccer and has been playing on a team for the past few weeks. He may be the smallest one out there, but he definitely has some speed in those legs.
*He loves to to be outside, if its not raining he is out there, riding his bike a lot these days now that he has no more training wheels.
*Is kind of a bossy little guy, likes to be in charge of the situation or game
*Really does have a tender heart, and cares about others. Loves Lane, and loves loves babies.
*Always has to say bye and love you every time casey or I leaves.
We Love you Teegs, and as crazy as you are we wouldn't trade for anything.
Shocker, I know. He was up there eating every ones leftover after the party was over.

Hard Work
Any of you that have been around Teegin know he has a love for baseball. For some reason for a while now has really wanted a wooden baseball bat. I think that is what Benny on "The Sandlot" , and all the pro players use. They aren't the cheapest things, so I was not going to just buy him one.
About two months ago we went to the store to get all his soccer gear; shin guards, cleats, and a ball. We were walking to the back of the store to pick out his cleats, and of course there on the front row of the aisle are wooden baseball bats. His eyes just lit up and he could not take his eyes off of them. I thought he would have been excited about getting all his soccer gear, but he could careless. I practically had to drag him to the back of the store to try his cleats on. He just kept begging and begging for one. I was not giving in.
So I made a deal with him. If he would do some work around the house, ad brush his teeth everyday. I would help him earn the money for it. He was serious about this. We went home and picked up all the toys, vacuumed 3 rooms, and washed my some windows. Over the course of about 2 months he has been doing chores, watering the garden, helping me pick the strawberries, and the tomatoes. He has vacuumed several times, even mopped. Finally after all his hard work it was time to go pick out his bat. He got all his cash, and shoved it on his pocket. When we got to the store he picked out his bat, and he got a ball too and walked up to the counter and put his wad of cash on the counter. The girl just laughed and thought he was so cute.
I have never seen him so excited about something, he was so proud. So was I.

DIY Canvas
I have recently come across this website that is to die for, I am completely hooked. It is called Pinterest. I'm sure most of you have heard of it and its old news to you, but its my new addiction. You can find anything on it.
So I have wanted to order canvas pictures for my house for a while now, but just couldn't get myself to fork out the money for them. I saw a DIY canvas pictures on pinterst and I thought why not I'll give it try. It was sooo dang easy.
I ordered some 12*12 pictures from Costco(extremly cheap) and went to Michaels for the canvas and mod podge, 9also extremely cheap); followed the instructions and walah I got myself some canvas pictures. Well they at least look canvas. They turned out super cute and was so excited about them.
I have a few projects in mind now that I have seen on pinterest I just need to get motivated and try them out.

Suprise Suprise
Yes, Yes we have another little munchkin on the way. I am now 18 weeks pregnant and definitely showing faster than my other pregnancies. I am due Feb.7. I made these shirts to tell Casey the Big news a few months ago.
We were all really excited, especially Teegin. This kid LOVES babies. Lane doesn't know whats going on with it all.
I have been dieing to find out the sex of this baby, along with everyone else, especially my sis Ali. My dr. wont do an ultrasound till I am 23weeks and I was not about to wait another month and a half. So I asked a lady in my ward who does ultrasounds at the hospital and she squeezed us in.
And we are definitely having another BOY! I was shocked. I really thought we were having a girl. I have been looking at bedding, nursery ideas, bows etc. But I guess I wont be needing any of that. The more it sunk in, the more excited I got. The boys will love having brothers to always play with. And boys are easier in a way. I wont have to buy much. Teegin was excited, kept talking about how now they could all play baseball and have a pitcher a hitter and someone in the outfield.
Now to think of another boy name.

Preschool
Teegin is going to a new preschool this year. His birthday is right on the fence if I could have sent him to kindergarten or another year of preschool. He made the cutoff but would have been the youngest in his class. I wasn't quite ready for him to go to kindergarten yet, and I don't think he was either. So I decided to send him to another year of preschool. We sent him to a different one than he went to last year. This one is an hour longer and I think will prepare him much more for kindergarten.
He goes mon-thurs 8:30-12:15. He gets to bring a lunch and eat there everyday, and that is one of his favorite things. He always has to know whats in it and has a definite opinion of what is in it. But I have noticed him eating much more, and healthier choices with this. So its a good thing.
Its nice just having Lane and I home in the mornings to hangout. Its been good for Teegin too, to get away for a litte while.

Freeze Time
I don't know why, if its me being all emotional and hormonal, but lately I have such been really thinking how sad it is that my kids are just growing up too fast. I was never a mom that loved the baby stage and I couldn't wait for Teegs to grow up more so he wasn't so dependant on me for everything. I thought oh how much I wanted to go back to work and be "busy" again with work or school. I didn't enjoy just being able to be home with my children everyday.
The other day Teegs and I were watching this home video my dad had made us of the grandkids, Teegin was 2 years old in it. He was soooo cute and innocent; its so sad how we forget them at that age and how much I kind of missed it.
I am LOVING Lane at where he is right now. I wish I could freeze him at this age. He is soo soo cute, I just could eat him up. I love how sweet he is and how much he just loves his mom. Cause I know one day he won't come sit on my lap holding a book wanting me to read to him, or lay by me in bed just because. I love how everything is so fun and exciting to him no matter how simple it is.
Teegin too, how he is entertained by such simple things, picking blackberries, catching grasshopppers, going to the park.
I know you always here moms say to enjoy them while they are young cause it doesn't last long. I remember thinking I cant wait for them to grow up. But I am really realizing how true that statement is. Dont get me wrong there are definite days when I am ready to rip my hair out and call it quits. But I also know one day I am going to miss having these little guys around, making me laugh all the time.
Also with having sons, I just hope they always know where their home is and are always welcome here.
Here are jsut some random pictures from the summer that I have been needing to post.
Picking blackberries
Disgusting. This is a sausage from a deer casey killed last year. Teeg loves this meat
Moonstone Beach.
This kid is obsessed with his muscles.
The other day Lane drug all my rugs from around the house into the living room and made a race track. They couldn't touch the carpet because it was hot lava
Look at that hair. The guy at the grocery store always call him my little surfer dude.
